Grand Prize Winners From Last Year is a trio of drum machinists, guitarists, keyboardists, horn players, and overall sound sculptors. They refer to their sound as genre-less but have been compared to "Outkast meets TV On The Radio meets Blondie."We like to think our music sounds like when self-medication is going good." G.P.W.F.L.Y. have no predisposition about their music and have stated "We are not in or out of the box because to us there is no box."

Life At Sea are going to be performing second.



Life at Sea is a local indie rock band that refuses to choose between pop and experimental. Set to a backdrop of moody post-punk rhythms and shimmering angular guitars they craft songs cinematic in scope. Songwriter Erik Shepard weaves melodies that get inside your head and burrow into your subconscious.

The Romans are a three piece indie rock band from Atlanta, GA. Their sound combines elements of dark new wave, 80′s pop, shoegaze and alternative music. Large lush atmospheric soundscapes engulf plaintive vocals while serving as a backdrop for philosophical lyrics dealing with loss, self realization, melancholy, brokenness and joy. Their ability to move effortlessly from dark to light and loud to soft within a set or on an album is what sets them apart from other bands within their genre.

It all begins with a melody, simple on its first chance hearing, but like an idea it must be built upon — with Austin Archer those early movements that conceive a song soon take on an operatic sensibility as a human sense of dramatics are hushed in. Nothing is smoldered down or weakened, guitars marry to create a journey, a testament of human endurance of the complex notion to be comfortable and understand where one’s feet are standing. Haunting as much as hopeful, life as much as death, Austin Archer sets out to capture the life he sees and feels exists.

James Wallace & The Naked Light will be performing first.



It was once said that James Wallace would be the kind of guy you'd want on your side if you ever got into a music fight in prison. He'd probably tell you that too, just to clarify his position on not getting into a real fight in prison. That said, his penchant for dark and clever wordplay above eerily-cheery melodies, begs there may be a few twisted stories from his past that we've yet to hear.

There's no hyperbole when it comes to Hunter Valentine. Everything has a direct message, delivered with a devout refusal for glitz or glamour. The hard line says it all, conveyed by confident, unbridled rock 'n' roll.

The Sexual Side Effects are performing before Hunter Valentine.



Drawing comparisons to Joan Jett and Chrissie Hynde, front girl Amber Taylor knows how to work a crowd, with an aura that reverberates on and off stage. Her electric charisma and haunting voice command attention while her epileptic guitar work leaves audiences gasping for breath. Guitarist Ryan McDougall adds complex textures and edgy solos while bassist Mike Sidner and drummer Clay McClure lay down solid, yet understated, grooves.

Once upon a time [March of 2012], friends and protagonists of a like-minded cause, Janey Criss and Jessi Monroe, stole three days from their lives of post-wizardry and fashioning, of sorts, in order to conduct a musical writing experiment. The result was an assuming product for the formulaic concoction at hand: boisterous synths, curious minors, acoustic elements, playful rhythms and thick, resolute vocals. Shortly following the experiment, Alec Yeager was invited to add thoughtful battery to the equation. Logistics were discussed. And VYIE became.
