The Sexual Side Effects are an eclectic and electric alternative rock group drawing from the influences of post-punk and 70's glam rock. Their songs resonate with rich chords, hypnotic vocal melodies, catchy hooks, and ethereal guitars. The group has been boiling over with much fanfare throughout the southeast since their current inception in 2011.
Fronting the band is accomplished multi-instrumentalist Amber Taylor, who shot to regional fame headlining Atlanta’s infamous glam/punk rock Glitterdome, the band Cobweb Strange, and as the organizer of the new Glam Rock theme night "Gilded Trash" in Atlanta and New York City. "Spikey" Mike Sidner (former bassist, Liquid Image) complements this highly charged, heart and pulse-throbbing band. Matt Foster (guitarist, Toy Devils, Blue of Noon) weaves a web of rousing guitar magic, while Clay McClure (drummer, Flat Cat) completes the act on battery.

Flat Cat is an original rock band based out of Atlanta. With blaring power-pop originals and the occasional unexpected cover tune, it's whatever cat style feels good at the moment.
Flat Cat started as a side project of Atlanta musician Chuck Brittain (guitarist with "The Cogburns" & "The Cherry Bomb" and formerly of "The Sexual Side Effects") as an avenue for his original songs. Since its inception in 2007, the band has mutated to the super talented current line-up with Chuck sharing singing and writing credits with Bucky Motter (Bass), a gender queer performing songwriter and rocker. Bucky is a veteran of the Atlanta music scene with two critically acclaimed CD's and has opened for such artists as BB King, Indigo Girls, and the Manhattan Transfer. Amy "Catfish" Rollinson (from the rollerderby-themed band "Tricksy" and the Joan Jett cover band "The Cherry Bomb") has stepped up her musical chops and now helps front Flat Cat with her amazing scream, crunchy guitar sound, and lyric creativity. Rounding out the talented new line-up is Clay McClure (drummer from "The Sexual Side Effects") who has taken the band from the straight forward 4/4 to a new rhythmic high and a new direction.

"I grew up in a traditional southern town in North Georgia where dreams weren’t socially accepted. Luckily I had a family that encouraged me to impersonate the characters of our town and to sing and speak freely as I desired. My mother and grandmother were responsible for cultivating an environment in which I was able to be creative with my vocal talents. Continuing to be involved in choirs beginning in church and through high school, my passion for singing and vocalizing characters was more than just an idea. There were many nights with my supportive circle of friends where we would put the television on mute so I could narrate with my own voices and my own words.
Nervous yet anxious to get started, I packed my car and moved to a bigger land of opportunity. I moved to Atlanta in June of 2005 and haven’t looked back yet. The move provided more creative people to share ideas with and so many creative outlets that have continued to foster my development. There was nothing left for me in my hometown except memories and tons of inspiration."
