"The Romans are a four piece indie rock band hailing from Atlanta GA whose music combines elements of dark new wave, 80's pop, and alternative music. Lush atmospheric soundscapes engulf haunted vocals all serving as a backdrop for philosophical lyrics dealing with loss, self realization, melancholy, brokeness and infinite joy. This ability to move effortlessly from dark to light and loud to soft within a set or on an album is what sets them apart from other bands within their genre."

Chu’s latest album, The Human Condition (Feb. 2012), features the single “Dear John,” a personal appeal addressing the role of men who fuel demand for sex trafficking. “I really wanted to communicate my heart on the issue to bring the buyers, and men, into the forefront.”
The Human Condition will be released at the Drunken Unicorn on February 23, 2012 in Atlanta as part of the END DEMAND Benefit Concert, which will raise funds to aid A Future. Not A Past. and Street GRACE in their efforts to fight human trafficking at the local level. Details can be found on Street GRACE’s website.

The Good Graces was formed in early 2007 when I picked up a $90 guitar from Atlanta’s late great Lakewood Antiques Market and started fiddling around with some simple chords and melodies. It wasn’t long before those simple chords and melodies turned into catchy, heartfelt indiepop tunes. Having been through a tumultous divorce just three years prior, I guess failed relationships were on my mind. So I began exploring themes of heartache and hope, while both relecting on the past and looking forward to a happy future. The songs came very easily for me, so much that many of them seemed to write themselves.
