In the Spring of 2007, while attending the Atlanta Institute of Music, Jake Merritt and Blue Phillips were paired up to perform “Take Five” in jazz performance class. Impressed by each other’s abilities on guitar, the two quickly became friends and began jamming on a regular basis. Joined by Daniel Burch on drums, the trio soon realized this was no ordinary group of musicians. The chemistry between the three sparked an influx of songwriting and a vision for something greater than the sum of it’s parts. This sound was Wake Of The Titan.
