Retro Sushi will be headlining the Drunken Unicorn on Thursday, May 26th, 2011

"What we’ve all been highly anticipating, since “The Starting Five” mixtape has finally landed and is here to listen too for our eardrums to vibe too. Atlanta’s very own, deeperthandope approved duo Retro Sushi this past saturday hit the streets with their twitter crazed anticipated ep titled “The Retro Sushi EP”. With the past features from Jace and Ceej on Travis Porter’s latest mixtape and a pleasant surprise on a Lex Luger production on an up and coming rapper Reese track there was definitely a buzz around there upcoming music. After a listen of the lp, I was very much impressed with the production of it as a whole.

The beat selections are perfect, they give off a real calm riding around Atlanta on a sunny day feel. To me that is good music. Listening to the lyrics Jace and Ceej deliver well written verses on pretty every track with clever punchlines, thought provoking references, and good mix of storytelling. Features from FKB and other Pilot Music affiliated artist add to music. The stand out tracks to me “Fuck An Introduction”, “Winning”, and “It’s You”. I suggest if you like hip hop music you give it a listen.

Atlanta’s hip-hop scene continues to grow day by day, Jace and Ceej seem to have strong ambitions of contributing to that, it’s only right that we show love as an up and coming movement within ourselves and through the blog scene continue to support these artist. As mentioned earlier the track “Winning” is without a doubt represents their every goal soon to be accomplished, produced by Child Major it’s hip-hop at it’s best!" - DeeperThanDope

Dreamer of Hollyweerd is the third performer of the evening.

Demond Toney, known to many as "Da Dreamer," is arousing the music world, stirring up excitement and interest in the hearts of all Hip Hop lovers. Embodying a sound large enough to fill the Phillips Arena, his music is the perfect concoction of rhythmic lyrics, sharp chords, and synthesized ballads.

His music is reminiscent of the the laid back ballads and street critiquing lyrics of the Grammy Award winning, Outkast. With Stankonia Studios being a second home to Da Dreamer, and Outkast's Andre Benjamin his inspiration and mentor, its refreshing to know that the great feeling of "cruising the ATL music" is creeping back into the scene. With the infamous "Snap Music Craze" slowing dying down, hopefuls alike will be glad for the change Da Dreamer will bring this Summer.

The Dreamer's mission is to elevated music without leaving anyone behind... Atlanta is on the break of some elite next level artist they know who they are.... Vibrate higher!!!! The Left-Field Movement Has Begun!!!!! Dont get left behind.

A-1 The Supergroup will be performing first.

"I must admit, I am little more into the lyrical hip-hop and so on… But this song right here has stuck on me, like one of those songs you can’t get out your head. Cam told me that his crew had some heat, but I definitely can see this anthem in heavy rotation within the Atlanta area and beyond. You can’t hate." - Chilly-O
