"A strong women's song, kompjúterek, electronic drums, the classic taste fafúvósok tax, recorded sounds and voices found all of this, a whole soundscape from an unusual surreal, atmoszszférát dalinak gives the Anez orchestra. The creed of music, and they sound, noise, both packages to them, it is not ugly or beautiful…… they are classified with alternative electronically, although this classification is determined by multiple redefine. Music attitűdjük, open, experimental, up to a very bizarre levels."
Its a long story, but here is the short of it. Awesome happened a while back, then disrepair and guilt. Soon hope came around, along with some dollar bills and life is now how it should be, minus some more dollar bills.
Once upon a time [March of 2012], friends and protagonists of a like-minded cause, Janey Criss and Jessi Monroe, stole three days from their lives of post-wizardry and fashioning, of sorts, in order to conduct a musical writing experiment. The result was an assuming product for the formulaic concoction at hand: boisterous synths, curious minors, acoustic elements, playful rhythms and thick, resolute vocals. Shortly following the experiment, Alec Yeager was invited to add thoughtful battery to the equation. Logistics were discussed. And VYIE became.

Their shows guarantee intense audience participation and chance to exercise with the band. "Do human bowling with us. Do limbo dancing with us. Do karaoke competition with us. Hit our cowbell with us," says Yellow. " Don't be shy, give us your smile! We can beat your stress! See you at our show!"
Electric Eel Shock are performing before Peelander-Z.
Electric Eel Shock are a glorious celebration of Classic Rock, Punk and Metal. A true power trio from the time before rock became fractured into a diverse multitude of sub-genres and we were all still one big happy Rock & Roll family.

Hrvrd here at the Drunken Unicorn on Wednesday, November 7th, 2012.
“Live music has so much potential for greatness,” expresses HRVRD vocalist Jesse Clasen. “To me, a studio recording is a snapshot of where a song is at that moment, and it should always continue to evolve and take on new perspectives. Live performances are opportunities to share something unique and beautiful with your audience…I’ve always admired the artists that let their songs blossom into something new and exciting even after they’ve been recorded.”
Junior Astronomers will be the second performer of the evening.
Junior Astronomers. A consistency in disorder breathes into existence a quintet bound to the loud and impulsive. Gritty and jangled on some occasions, then mangled and diverting in others. The only thing planned is the outburst itself.
"an unsigned, unsung gem in Charlotte’s indie rock scene—has an offbeat, alternative sound that doesn’t skimp on electric guitar handiwork" - ANNIE MONJAR, Charlotte Magazine

The Mystery Men? are performing before Death Of Kings.
Formed from different corners of the Atlanta music scene, these shadowy figures play their own brand of reverby instro surf music. Always with a mind toward the creative, The Mystery Men? are continuously looking to hypnotize new and old fans alike!
Members of GAYLORD (Core Atoms, Drew Verstraete) and LAZER/WULF (Sean Peiffer, Bryan Aiken) combine into a single, mechanical, doom-funk shred-wraith. Thicker than fuck, baby, fun like Cool Hell. It's a whole playbook of apocalyptic whimsy.

Goodnight Buffalo are releasing "Back & Fill" HERE at The Drunken Unicorn on Friday, November 2nd, 2012.
It’s a rarer and rarer experience in popular music to find a band that sounds at once emotionally inspired and familiar in a way that feels like home. That Atlanta’s Goodnight Buffalo embodies both of these traits comes through as certain even seconds into any of their songs. Anthemic while also earnest, intimate in a way that fills a room, it seems clear that here’s a band designed to spread its sound over the world.
In early 2011 Todd Caras and Gentry Edwards began writing music together. In the fall of 2011 Ross Henderson and Jared Lace joined the mix and Methods Of Espionage was formed. From that point on, they worked to polish and refine several song ideas and ultimately began writing together as a band.
Sick/Sea here at The Drunken Unicorn on Wednesday, October 31st, 2012.
Imagine a sequestered town at the southern brink of the Lone Star State whose townsfolk claim as much cultural heritage from the bordering country as they do from their own. A place that seems contradictory being such a small town in the largest of U.S. states. It is in this setting that the emerging band, Sick/Sea finds its roots. While their hometown might be small, the music from the Magic Valley is anything but little. The tight-knit music community found there is making waves that are flowing out past the edges of Texas, spilling into the south at large. Several critically acclaimed groups hail from the area and Sick/Sea is a part of the growing current.
The current musical climate is overrun with uninspired trends and predictable structures. Hoping to fill this void, Native Suns has emerged from Atlanta, GA with an energetic new sound nurtured in the heat of the deep South. Brought together through a mutual yearning for a return to honest music, this ambient rock five-piece features members of Of Machines (Rise Records) and I Create.

A Place To Bury Strangers here at The Drunken Unicorn on Tuesday, October 30th, 2012.
A Place To Bury Strangers have often been called "the loudest band in New York". This may very well be the case, but unlike much so-called "loud" rock and roll that's out there, APTBS is not loud simply for the sake of it. The sonically overdriven sound they've accomplished is no clumsy accident, but a carefully cultivated and well-maintained entity all its own, fostered by an unbridled passion that's clearly evident in every live show they play and each recording they make. A Place To Bury Strangers does not so much play songs as allow them to pour out. They are songs about longing, heartbreak and confusion played extremely well and at a passionately loud volume.
Bleeding Rainbow will be performing before A Place To Bury Strangers.
Nevermind the constant threat of a cease and desist letter, when Carrie Brownstein tells you that your band name is weak, you change it. But it isn't as simple as a name change for Philadelphia's minimal noise pop duo Reading Rainbow, significant line up additions facilitated the adoption of a new moniker. So...drum roll please...as we reintroduce Philadelphia's Bleeding Rainbow, now a full-blown, Brownstein-approved, rock quartet. The name better represents the band's evolving sound and is all around more badass and trippy as sh*t. The founding members, Sarah Everton, who moved from drums to bass to give her vocals a better chance to shine, and vocalist/guitarist Rob Garcia are now joined by Al Creedon on lead guitar and drummer Greg Frantz.
"Atlanta's Entertainment craft a postpunk spin on gothic music the way god and nature intended... It’s like ten-ton columns of sleek black marble, distorto glam-dub riot..." - Matthew Moyer / Movement Magazine
