Million Young is returning to the Drunken Unicorn on Wednesday, April 18th

is presenting:

Million Young here at The Drunken Unicorn on Wednesday, April 18th, 2012.

"Millionyoung is a local boy done really good — call it "dream pop" or "chill wave" if you have to but his tunes are suggestive pop gems that are highly evocative of South Florida's unique palette, making his style immediately identifiable as indigenous." Flavorpill

Sumsun will be performing second.

"Pushing the Leaving sound, Sumsun’s Samo Milagro is a deep breath of fresh air for LR’s wide open aesthetic. The album title, Samo Milagro, serves as both an ode and a reminder: a reference to an early Jean-Michel Basquiat pseudonym as well as the Florida collective of which Sumsun’s main-man Judson Rogers was involved within. A dance record at heart, Sumsun prods the listener through the album’s languid atmospherics with a healthy slathering of uptempo breaks and teal grooves of Sumsun’s humid locale (FL, US)." - Leaving Records

New Animal will be starting the show. This is New Animal's FIRST local show of 2012!

"When you really dig independent music, whether as a fan or a blogger, there’s almost no better feeling than stumbling upon a promising young band that no one’s ever heard of… especially when that band is as talented and exciting as New Animal. Just two dudes from Atlanta, Kris Hermstad and Derek Burdette have labored over 15 tracks and 75 minutes of music in styles ranging from bedroom pop to exp. psych pop to anthemic kraut rock. The more the merrier — they don’t fit some simple category, no “RIYL” recommendations abound. Seemingly from the heart, or from the mind, or from the gut, but at least from somewhere within. They don’t cop someone else’s sound and fuzz the hell out of it to mask their theft. They aren’t hopping on the latest genre bandwagon. Listen for yourselves!" - iguessimfloating.net
