Sleep Dance will be playing a show here on Saturday, April 21st

Sleep Dance will be headlining the Drunken Unicorn on Saturday, April 21st, 2012.

Sleep Dance originally started with Matt and Nick writing, recording, and playing songs they wrote as a collective. After finishing their first EP, they decided to bring in Will to play shows and expand upon what they had written. The later addition of Brad further expanded the sound. Sleep Dance defies any set genre with stylistic qualities of acoustic rock, jazz, and indie rock. Intricate guitar work surrounded by ambient guitar sound, all driven by complex percussion is the best way to describe the sound.

Corner Kid will be performing before Sleep Dance.

Corner Kid (Chad Yochum formerly of Lions & Scissors) is on a mission to explore every nook and cranny of the full spectrum of music. With his debut album "Atlas, At Last!" he portrays every aspect of his own being through a myriad of self-performed instruments and textures, from ear-piercing guitars, to haunting antique pianos, horn sections, ukulele, harmonium, even a simulation of the SID Chip, which was used to make music for the Commodore 64. If he thinks it, he makes it happen. And his reason is simply "Why not?"
