Microwave was born in a storage facility in Woodstock, Georgia, a collection of different members of past and present local Atlanta bands including Some Mistakes, Iron Wolves, the Coroners, Darksided, Fair is Foul, and We Are Only Fiction.

MOONBASE is an instrumental rock band heavily influenced by the surf bands of the 60's with progressive leanings. Members of the band come from a long line of Atlanta instrumental groups including The Squares, Blame Game, Sorry no Ferrari, Jeffrey Bützer & the Bicycle Eaters, and Gold Standard as well as other groups including Knaves Graves and Book of Colors.
