Today The Moon Tomorrow The Sun return to the Drunken Unicorn on Saturday, July 17th

Today The Moon, Tomorrow The Sun are performing on Saturday, July 17th

Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun is about the collaborative. It’s about the connections between sound and people. It’s about the heart and the head. It’s for mistakes and triumphs, and against arrogance and underconfidence. Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun is about sharing the ideas that are created by four friends in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s all for sharing much further than there, penniless or plentiful.

Stokeswood are performing second.

The electroacoustic band, Stokeswood was formed in 2004 by lead vocalist and acoustic guitar player, Adam Patterson and lead electric guitarist, Mark Godwin. The five-piece (since 2007), Atlanta based, indie rock band includes drummer, Jon Joiner, keys and bass player, Reed Irvine and percussionist, Craig Gendreau. Stokeswood makes modern electroacoustic music that moves the masses with pumping organic dance tunes and epic adventures. An eclectic mix of percussion, strong vocals, story telling lyrics, powerful electric guitar and driving synths Stokeswood's sound is described as a "Cosmic Waltz."

The 54 are opening.

The 54 grew from what was once an experimental acoustic project between classmates. In 2007, they set their sites on further developing an edgier sound that displayed what was becoming increasingly absent from the Rock scene: honesty, rawness, and showmanship.

At this point, only one thing was missing: a name. They experimented with several ideas: Chucks and Forces, StereoTip, Better than Sects... Nothing was striking a chord, until it came: The 54- with the new name came a new attitude, confidence, and a deeply rooted desire to transform their project into something that would one day be larger than life.

One of their undeniable strengths is their ability to merge different sounds with an explosiveness that inspires listeners to respond with the same uncontrollable, unapologetic impulsiveness. With lyrical content to expose the pre-historic definitions of fun, music, celebration, and honest human expression, The 54 shows signs of becoming the relatable rock band by which every other band claiming to be "of the people" must measure themselves. Having developed a cult-like following in Atlanta, the band has their eyes set on national and international ambitions. The 54 is soon to let the world know what they've been missing::::.
